The dissapearance of natural fertil soil and the live-threatening pollution of water and air as primarily topic of the studies. The instinctive seperation of functions results out of ecological considerations. The degree of contamination defines the function of the zone: Living (housing, kindergarten, shops,…), learning/ working (schools, offices, ”clean“ industry), working (industry classified by their emission quantity), culture (historical city center as museumarea), taffic (train, routes connecting zones), vegetation (parks, forest, agriculture). Hospitals play a major role positioned inbetween industrial- and livingzones.
